PREVENTIVE & MAINTENANCE RECOMMENDATIONS:

Congratulations for having purchased or contemplating buying a classic “New Look vinyl” Floor.

Regular Maintenance is an important part of keeping your floor looking good- By adhering to the following recommendations. The life of your floor will be prolonged considerably.

SWEEP OR VACCUM:

Fine dust and dirt will cause your newly coated vinyl floor to scratch, wearing out and dulling its appearance. Regular use of an electric static one or Vaccum cleaner will Alleviate Premature sign of ageing.

CLEANING:

Wash your floor occasionally with a recommended floor cleaner like classic new quick cleaner and our snap back maintainer one. You could also clean with luke warm water and clear ammonia pso. Never use agrasive cleaners, soaps, paste, waxes or solvent on four vinyl floor

USE OF MATS:

Dirt grit and small pebbles are too often picked up and trailed into the house undre shoes. Once brought inside these can cause wear and luss of appearance of your floor. We recommend the use of non staining non scratching mats or rugs at strategic positions inside and outside the house to reduce these risks.

SELF ADHESIVE FELT PADS:

Bye strongly advocate the use of felt pads under the legs of chairs and tables etc.. to ensure that no furniture touches the flooring directly. Avoid dragging any furniture over the floor. Finaly check with door installer when it is suitable to bring your furniture back into the room.

SUPPORTIVE PRODUCTS:

We advise the use of high quality floor polish to be applied. To enhance the durability and appearance of your newly installed Classic “New Look Vinyl”, we recommend that you use specifically designed “vinyl flooring” maintenance products for cleaning, polishing and maintenance, such as our Classic floor care products.

Observing these instructions will greatly improve and protect your floor for a long time. For recoating details contact your flooring installer.

The following maintenance program has been provided by S.C. Johnson Professionals.

Procedure
Stripping
 Freedom
  1. Dust control floor and removegum and other objects.
  2. Dilute Freedom at 1:4 with hotwater into bucket as per instructions(1part Freedom to 4 parts water)
  3. Mop onto floor and scrub
  4. Pick up slurry with mop or wet& dry vacumm.
  5. Rinse floor with fresh water
  6. Pick up rinse water and leavefloor to dry

Laying

Polish

 Veetra
  1. Use a clean poly/cotton mopand bucket.
  2. Apply 4 coats of Veetra in thincoats leaving approx. 40 minsfor polish to dry between coats.
Cleaning
 View Quick
  1. Dust control floor
  2. Dilute view Quick at 1:40 withcold water into bucket as perinstructions (1part view Quickto 40 parts water)
  3. Mop onto floor and scrub ifnecessary.
  4. Let Dry.

Maintaining

(optional)
  1. Clean floor as above.
  2. Dilute Snapback at 1:4 withcold water into a spray bottleas per instructions (1 part Snapbackto 4 parts water)
  3. Spray solution 2-3 metres infront of swing polisher.
